English Writing Generalist

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role open to anyone with strong English writing instincts and a sharp eye for quality. No prior AI or tech experience needed — just a genuine command of the language and a commitment to doing excellent work.

What You'll Do

• Write, edit, and refine English content across a wide range of topics and formats
• Review text for grammar, spelling, sentence structure, and stylistic consistency
• Evaluate AI-generated writing for clarity, accuracy, tone, and overall quality
• Identify subtle errors, ambiguities, and inconsistencies that undermine readability
• Apply detailed style guidelines consistently across varied writing tasks
• Provide clear, structured feedback using provided evaluation tools
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Who You Are

• Native or near-native English fluency with strong command of written expression
• Naturally detail-oriented — you notice what others miss
• Able to evaluate writing quality objectively and articulate your reasoning clearly
• Comfortable working across a broad range of topics, tones, and writing styles
• Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
• No specific academic background or prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

• Background in writing, editing, journalism, content creation, or communications
• Experience with proofreading, copyediting, or style guide application
• Familiarity with AI writing tools or content platforms as an end user
• Experience in quality assurance, research, or critical analysis
